Under den senaste tiden noteras en ökning gällande tillgrepp av GPS-utrustning från större maskiner såsom traktorer och grävmaskiner i Älvsborg. Även annan elektronisk hjälputrustning som grävsystemssensorer och liknande har tillgripits.

GPS-utrustning är oerhört mer avancerade än de vanliga GPS:er som används till vardags, då denna utrusning styr hela maskinen. Värdet på denna typ av avancerad utrustning är högt. Exempel på gods är GPS-system, pekskärmar/displayer, datorskärmar, antenner och liknande.
